Ruma Singhal has joined ^ a t o m as the lead of its strategic planning team. She moves from 82.5 Communications where she was planning director.

Singhal will be based in Mumbai.

Abhik Santara, CEO and director, ^ a t o m, said, "Ruma is a proud addition to our young team of digital natives. We are not a lip-service agency and believe in walking the talk. Brands believe in our offering as we combine long-term brand equity with short-term ROIs in every solution that we offer. Every member of the team comes with dual experience - mainline plus digital media. It's important for each one of us to have hands-on experience and not just demonstrate theoretical knowledge on LinkedIn posts and Ruma's multi-disciplinary experience in leadership roles bolsters our promise.  I find her as a planner who simplifies complex problems without using fancy jargons. The other thing that we are very particular about is to have people with the right cultural fit –the intrapreneurial mindset combined with a let's make it happen attitude. We don't approach businesses in a classical way and the very thought of doing regular work makes us cringe. In Ruma, we have found a perfect partner with deep brand understanding, modesty, and the infectious energy to push for great creative work, delivering business solutions for brands".

Singhal said, "I completely echoed ^ a t o m's vision of platform-agnostic approach with just a single aim to unleash the true potential of a brand. The hybrid way of working is just what the current times need. In fact, that's the only way to go. I love the culture of the team at ^ a t o m which collaborates on ideas first and not the medium. The creative, strategy and media teams work hand in hand and there are no boundaries of discipline or designations. The coordination with the global partners is also done very differently from how a classical agency functions. It's a liberating experience, where everyone has a voice and a point of view to offer. Super excited to be a part of the team and create some exciting work"

Singhal has also had stints with Pocket Aces, MullenLowe Lintas Group, Percept H and Spatial Access.
